Top Ten Billy Graham Quotes

This past week, our nation mourned as news of Billy Graham’s death at age 99 was broadcast on television channels and radio stations all across the country. During his lifetime, Graham proclaimed the Gospel to over 215 million people in more than 185 countries and led hundreds of thousands to Christ. If radio and television broadcasts are included, his estimated lifetime audience is said to number in the billions.

A world renowned leader in the Christian faith, he offered invocations at nine Presidential inaugurations, and prayed with every President from Harry Truman to Barack Obama, regardless of their political party. He was named in the top ten of Gallup’s “Most Admired Man in the World,” list a record-breaking 60 times, and he was an inspiration to many others who inspire us, including George W. Bush, Martin Luther King, Jr., Muhammad Ali, and Bono.

During the course of his ministry (which spanned over 60 years), Billy Graham communicated the truth of the Scriptures with boldness, clarity, and grace. While I never got to hear him preach, I’m truly grateful that many of his sermons, speeches, and interviews were recorded and captured for our encouragement even today. Below are my ten favorite Billy Graham quotes – all of which have provided both direction and comfort to me, and I hope they do the same for you.
